MOTLEY Movies, the popular pop-up cinema, will be heading to Cardiff Bay’s waterfront for people to enjoy a classic movie and eat some delicious street food.

Between June and July, Motley Movies will be popping up in the Bay beside the Doctor Who exhibition for a run of events that are in addition to their regular summer slots up on the rooftop of Jacob’s Market, and will be kicking off the run of events in June.

The site is a first for the city and these are the first events to be held on the site, as it is currently undergoing rejuvenation and renovation by Igloo Development, in conjunction with the government, who are hoping to work with local creative companies, pop-ups and cocktail bars to help create a vibrant environment in Porth Teigr.

The waterside residency will witness Motley Movies bringing the city eight, water based films, such as Jaws, across two months, and the announcement comes just after the release of their summer schedule which will see them show films such as Alien, Bucket List and Fight Club at Jacob’s and kicks off next week on May 1 with Mad Max.

In addition to the films, Motley Movies will be joined at each of their events by some of the city’s most mouth watering pop-up restaurants, such as Pizza Pronto and The Macho Nacho, who will be feeding the guests, not to mention their fully equipped bar to allow everyone to enjoy the sun in style.

Tickets available for purchase from Motley’s website at motleymovies.co.uk.
