The Old Post Office in Cardiff and Bryn-y-Ddafad in Cowbridge will be open to the public on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday 7.

They will open as part of the National Gardens Scheme.

Opening on both days, The Old Post Office is situated in the popular village of Gwaelod-y-Garth on the northern edge of Cardiff this informal terraced garden provides some splendid views of the green valley and hills opposite.

It will be open from 11am-5pm and admission is £3 and children are free. There will be homemade teas available.

Bryn-y-Ddafad will only be open on the Sunday from 1-5pm.

This plant woman’s garden has areas of unusual plantings giving interest through the seasons. Terraced rear garden, mature trees, flowering shrubs, Lily pond, pergola of clematis and wisteria, rose garden leading to a bridge crossing the natural stream and bog garden, areas of grasses, candelabra primulas, rhododendrons and azaleas. Attractive raised courtyard garden planted in pastel shades.

Admission is £4 and children are free. Visitors are also welcome by arrangement from now until September for groups of 10 and more, with admission costing £4 for adults.
