A ONE-DAY reflexology workshop will be held at The Kymin, Penarth, on Monday, July 13.

During this fascinating, interactive and practical workshop, you will learn a great deal about clinical reflexology, gain basic knowledge of the functions and structures of the organs and systems in the body and examine the potential benefits of this wonderful complementary therapy.

During the morning session they will explore the holistic approach to health, the origins of reflexology, the body-mind link and also the theories that attempt to explain how it works. Next they will identify how the body’s organs and systems are reflected on the feet and discuss how imbalances in the body, can be detected by looking at and working the feet.

The afternoon session is a practical, hands-on workshop in which you will be shown preparation of the feet, relaxation techniques and some basic reflexology. You will then be invited to work in pairs to practise what you have learnt on each other. The aim of the workshop is to provide an insight into the clinical reflexology profession, to equip you with a simple routine and to hopefully spark further interest in this therapy.

The course will run from 10am until 4pm, for more information visit valecourses.org or call 01446 773831.
