THE New Theatre, Cardiff has announced four exciting new shows coming later this year.

Fasten your seatbelts for a rip-roaring ride on a broomstick when Julia Donaldson’s classic children’s story Room on the Broom from Friday, July 24 to Sunday 26.

This spellbinding show brought to you by the creators of The Gruffalo finds the right balance of storytelling, audience participation, music and comedy to keep little ones entertained.

Willy Russell’s legendary Blood Brothers is back by popular demand to thrill Cardiff audiences from Monday, September 28 to Saturday, October 10.

Follow the captivating and moving tale of two brothers separated at birth only to meet again as children and later as adults with tragic consequences.

The memorable score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and Tell Me It’s not True.

Horrible Histories returns and this time it’s the turn of the Groovy Greeks and Incredible Invaders from Tuesday, November 17 to Saturday 21.

Using actors and groundbreaking special effects audiences will be thrilled by this exciting show where historical events and figures come to life on stage and hover at your fingertips.

Finally, Stephen King’s classic story The Shawshank Redemption is brought to the stage in a brand new production from Monday, November 23 to Saturday 28.

This gripping thriller set in an American jail follows Andy Dufresne who is framed for murder of this wife.

Thrown into prison, Andy quickly learns that no one can survive alone. A must see for fans of the popular movie.
