THE Sound of Alpine Horns is coming to Penarth Pier Pavilion on Thursday, August 6.
Penarth Pier Pavilion are delighted to announce that they are a venue on Stuttgart Youth Wind Band’s tour while they are in South Wales. The band’s visit to Cardiff and Penarth is part of the city’s celebration to mark 60 years of its twinning arrangement with Stuttgart.
Stuttgart Youth Wind Band consists of 35 young people aged between 10 and 18, many of whom have never previously visited the city which their hometown is twinned with. The performance will include a unique demonstration of alpine horn playing by six of the band’s members.
The performance will be free to the public although donations towards the travel expenses of the band will be welcome. The performance will be taking place between 2pm and 4pm.
