WILL Young will be performing in his first tour in four years and will make an appearance at St David's Hall, Cardiff on Wednesday, November 18.

The BRIT-award winning singer-songwriter and winner of the inaugural Pop Idol contest has announced The Love Revolution shows on the back of yet another number one album entitled '85% Proof', which was released last month.

Will’s meteoric success has been staggering with four out of his six studio albums reaching the top of the UK charts, whilst his other two have narrowly missed out at number two.

He first catapulted to fame after winning Pop Idol in 2002 and releasing Anything Is Possible two weeks later, which became the fastest selling debut single in the UK. His first album entitled From Now On followed and has since gone on to sell nearly one million copies.

Will’s popularity continued to soar with thanks to his chart-topping renditions of songs by The Doors and The Beatles with Light My Fire and The Long and Winding Road (featuring fellow Pop Idol contestant Gareth Gates). He would reach the summit of the charts again the following year with his classic Leave Right Now.

However, his latest album '85% Proof' is his most mature and accomplished work yet, and he’ll be performing tracks from this record for his fans in Cardiff, plus a selection of greatest hits.

Will has also turned his hand to acting having appeared Skins and Bedlam for TV, whilst his performance onstage as The Emcee in Cabaret led to a nomination for the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical. He’s also written passionate political blogs for The Huffington Post, mentored other singers, fronted an equality campaign for Stonewall and released a bestselling autobiography entitled Funny Peculiar.

Tickets to the show cost £35 and £45 (plus a £2.95 ticket service charge per transaction).
