MUSIC organisers, Jazz Live Cymru, have lined-up two great nights out, following a very successful event on Friday, October 2.

Jazz Live Cymru co-operated with local groups to produce a fantastic night out at the Paget Rooms.

They were helped by their partners Marina Residents, Foxy’s Deli, Sugo Jazz, Cardiff Lindy Hop, Elaina Hoss (vocalist) and the Royal Welsh College jazz programme, with Teddy Smith and his Big Band.

The evening was filled with astoundingly good big band swing and songs from the great era of jazz, with some contemporary numbers such as Alfie – a wonderful tribute to Cilla Black – and lively vocals.

Delighted members of the audience were also treated to the stylish floor dancing from members of Lindy Hop Cardiff, a collaboration with Anna Rogers and her group.

Jazz Live Cymru, operate as a not for profit organisation who bring together great music, nice venues and new audiences for jazz. They wish to thank all who were associated with the initiative and came along and support the evening, as well as Penarth shops and businesses that helped to promote the evening by displaying leaflets and posters.

Now Jazz Live Cymru can announce details of upcoming Jazz Duo nights coming to Sugo Restaurant.

Come along to a trumpet and guitar evening on Tuesday, October 20 and an alto sax and keyboard night on Tuesday, November 10. Both evenings from 6.30pm and booking is advised, just call the restaurant on 02920 709955.

These popular evenings have had a great response and are free to diners at the restaurant.
