THE Italian Film Festival will be showing a number of films in October in Penarth Pier Pavilion, Chapter Cardiff and Cineworld Cardiff.

Starting on October 10 at Cineworld will be Piu buio di mezzanotte (Darker than Midnight) by Sebastiano Riso, in partnership with the Iris Prize Festival, followed by a Q&A with the director.

The film will be shown at 8.30pm.

Two films will be shown at Penarth Pier Pavilion on Friday, October 16. Firstly at 5.30pm will be L’arbitro (The Referee) by Paolo Zucca, followed by a Skype Q&A with the director.

Then at 8.30pm will be Io sto con la sposa (On the Bride’s Side) by Antonio Augugliaro, Gabriele Del Grande and Khaled Soliman Al Nassiry, followed by a Q&A with the director.

Finally finishing on Saturday, October 17 at Chapter, Cardiff will be three films.

Starting at 3.30pm will be Sara un paese (It Will Be a Country) by Nicola Campiotti, then Il giovane favoloso (Leopardi) by Mario Martone at 5.30pm and at 8.30pm will be Le cose belle (The Beautiful Things) bu Agostion Ferrente and Giovanni Piperno.

After the final film will be a Q&A with the director and producer.
