AS PART of the BFI LOVE season of film screenings across Wales, a number of events will take place at Penarth Pier Pavilion.

On November 8, there will be a Tea Dance and Brief Encounter.

For its inaugural event in this celebratory season the Pavilion will be hosting a vintage 1940s themed Tea Dance prior to a screening of the newly restored British classic Brief Encounter, which celebrates its 70th anniversary this year.

So fall in love like it’s 1945 in the beautiful grandeur of the Art Deco Pavilion. Beginning at 2pm, enjoy a special afternoon of live music, dancing and food before topping the day off with a timeless classic of British cinema at 4pm.

There are three ticket options available – Tea Dance only at 2pm for £5, Brief Encounter screening only at 4pm for £7 and for the Tea Dance and Brief Encounter screening it will cost £10.

Then on November 21 it will be French cuisine and Amelie.

From 7pm the Pavilion café will be serving a special selection of French cuisine prior to a screening of the much loved, Academy Award nominated Amelie at 9pm.

The ticket price of £20 will include a main, a dessert, a glass of wine and the cinema ticket.
