THE next Absolutely Fabulous Vegetarian and Vegan Fair will be held on Sunday, November 15, at St Augustine’s Parish Community Hall, Albert Road, Penarth.
This fantastic event showcases delicious local food and helps raise money for charities.
The fair will run from 11am until 3pm, with admission costing £1 for adults and children are free.
Fabulous food on offer will be pizzas from the Vegan Pizza Co, cakes and wraps from Bean There in Cardiff, BJ’s Juice Bar in Penarth, Mr Nice Pie – with five delicious varieties and Babita’s Spice Deli.
Fundraising at the fair will be RozMogz Cat Rescue. Fair organiser Sue Thomas is very supportive of the charity which is rescuing kittens in Spain.
Barb Trenholm is currently housing the kittens in the hope that money can be raised to move them to the UK to find new homes.
So far £500 has been raised which has paid for passports for the kittens and injections so they can be transported safely to the UK.
One cat, Tom, has a home waiting for him and currently looks after the other kittens since being thrown out.
The charity hopes to raise £1,000 to cover travel, worming and their Defra requirements.
Come along to the fair to support local businesses and the charity.
If you can’t attend the fair but would like to donate to the charity please contact Sue Thomas on 02920 709292 – RozMogz Cat Rescue’s Barb has a Go Fund Me account for those wanting to make donations.
