COUNT Duckula Live is heading to Cardiff for the perfect half-term family fun.

The classic cartoon character comes to the stage for the very first time alongside Igor and Nanny at St David's Hall on Wednesday, February 17 at 2pm.

Entitled The Jewels of Duckula, this brand new show (suitable for ages 2-8) will delight tiny tots and have parents revelling in the nostalgia of their own childhoods.

From 1989-1993, 65 episodes of Count Duckula captivated a generation of children and it’s still very fondly remembered. Created by British studio Cosgrove Hall, the series was a spin-off to the hugely popular Danger Mouse, in which Count Duckula was a recurring villain.

Iconic actor David Jason provided the voice of Danger Mouse, and subsequently also voiced Count Duckula once he was given his own series and transformed into a lovable character.

Count Duckula is unable to pay the bills and with the bailiffs looming to take his ancestral home he stumbles across a map of the castle. But this isn’t just any old map as it shows the location of The Jewels of Duckula, which is widely believed to be long lost.

Join Count Duckula, Nanny and Igor this half-term at St David’s Hall as they race against time to solve the clues, find the treasure and save the castle.

Tickets cost £11.50 for adults and £9.50 for children. A family ticket of two adults and two children costs £38. One ticket in a group of 10 is free (all prices are subject to an additional £2.95 Ticket Service Charge per transaction and an optional 95p postage fee).
