NEW Theatre, Cardiff, has lined-up an incredible programme of shows for 2016 - with April being packed with unmissable theatre.

JB Priestley’s gripping thriller An Inspector Calls returns to the New from Tuesday, April 12 to Saturday 16 courtesy of Stephen Daldry, the Oscar-nominated director of The Reader, The Hours and Billy Elliot. The landmark production has been hailed as the theatrical event of our generation, having won more awards than any other play in history.

Based on the album of the same name, American Idiot is the explosive, award-winning Broadway musical inspired by the music of punk rock band Green Day. The musical returns to Cardiff on Tuesday, April 19 to Saturday 23 following a critically acclaimed London run, with X-Factor finalist Amelia Lily reprising her role as Whatshername.

Celebrate the undisputed King of Pop in Thriller Live from Monday, April 25 to Saturday 30. A cast of very talented performers will pay homage to Michael Jackson’s legendary music and innovative dance moves with a remarkable song-list that includes Smooth Criminal, Billie Jean and Beat It.
