APRIL offers another action-packed month of entertainment at St David’s Hall with a magnificent mix of music, comedy and nostalgia.

Pop fans will be pleased to hear that tickets can still be snapped up for Rick Astley on Wednesday, April 13, who is back belting out the hits including his memorable No.1 single Never Gonna Give You Up.

There’s also a real blend of nostalgia this month too. First up is Soul Legends on Friday, April 8, which celebrates the dancefloor classics of Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, Tina Turner, Barry White and many more.

Plus, the clocks are wound back to the 60s the following night with Owen Money’s Juke Box Heroes on Saturday, April 9, as the lovable comedian and BBC Radio Wales presenter hosts a quartet of top tributes including Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield, Matt Munro and Mama Cass.

Furthermore, national treasure Phillip Schofield presents The Knights of Music on Thursday, April 21, which lauds the iconic artists honoured with knighthoods such as Sir Paul McCartney and Dame Shirley Bassey.

The Orbison Story on Friday, April 22, celebrates The Big O’s 80th birthday, whilst The Solid Silver 60s Show on Friday, April 29, returns with Herman’s Hermits frontman Peter Noone topping the bill.

If you’re after something a bit different, why not try Psychic Sally on Tuesday, April 26 or even the Cardiff Ukulele Festival on Saturday, April 16.

There’s the usual sprinkling of superb stand-up too. Julian Clary on Saturday, April 16, marks 30 years on the comedy circuit with another night of outrageous humour.

And now you can star in the forthcoming live DVD of one of the UK’s finest comedians as Richard Herring on Tuesday, April 12, films his Happy Now tour date in front of a Cardiff crowd.
