THE autumn season of Music at Lunchtime recitals at All Saints Church in Penarth continues on Monday, September 19.

It features the newly-formed Cathays Chamber Players (all members of the St Edwards Orchestra in Cardiff) who will perform together as an ensemble for the first time at All Saints Church.

The group comprises Alison Dite on piano, Nori Hirano (violin), Phil Ellis (viola) and Anna Auchterlonie on cello. They will be performing two Mozart pieces - the C Major Piano trio K548, and the G minor piano quartet K478. No doubt Penarth Mozart fans will be well satisfied with that programme.

This current season of weekly music recitals will last until the end of November and will be providing music to suit all tastes, and all of the highest standard.

The Music at Lunchtime recitals at All Saints Church start at 1pm on Mondays and last about an hour. Entry is free and always will be.

Audience members do show their appreciation of the event they have enjoyed and of what the church is seeking to do by contributing towards a retiring collection in aid of the All Saints Organ Restoration Fund. Those contributions, however, are completely voluntary.

Future concerts include songs from the 30s, 40s and 50s courtesy of the Scott-McNicholas Experience – Sue Scott on piano and Steph McNicholas providing the vocals (Monday, September 26), classical guitar, organ, theoboro (lute), piano and much more.
