LIVE music returns to The Pilot, Queens Road, Penarth on Friday, October, 28 with the appearance of guitar and vocal duo Nick Treharne and Geraint Williams.

An accomplished vocalist and acoustic guitarist, Nick Treharne first began playing at the Sunday night jam session at The Pilot more than 10 years ago, an evening which attracted many musicians and was regarded as one of the best live music nights in Penarth. He has since built up a steady following of supporters, and is well known on the local music scene.

Cowbridge-based Geraint Williams has his background in country/blues music and draws his influence from performers such as Jackson Brown and James Taylor. A popular contributor to acoustic evenings in Wales and the south east of England, his relaxed finger picking style and mellow vocals have been pleasing crowds throughout his career.

Blending together their acoustic guitar skills and rich voices in perfect harmony, the duo have a varied repertoire of songs that will be familiar to most, but which are often overlooked by other performers. From Stevie Wonder to Prefab Sprout, Mark Knopfler, Soft Cell and even Cyndi Lauper, each song is crafted and delivered with energy, precision and passion.

Entry to The Pilot, which is noted in the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide 2016, is free, with the music commencing at 9pm.
