AFTER last Monday’s Gala Anniversary Lunchtime Concert in which Rebecca Evans, well supported by other performers, enthralled the audience, All Saints Church reverts to its weekly programme of free lunchtime recitals next Monday, November 7.

Returning after being well received at the aforementioned Gala Concert will be baritone Nigel Lloyd-Latham accompanied by Anthony Negus. Nigel will be demonstrating his versatility as a performer with a diverse programme which will include something to please everyone.

Both of these talented musicians need little introduction to the people of Penarth and are regular members of All Saints Church. Their contribution to the musical side of worship at the church has been greatly appreciated over the years.

The All Saints Church Music at Lunchtime autumn season continues throughout the month with recitals by the Eilan String Quartet on November 14 and Blackweir Brass on November 21, both ensembles made up of under graduate students at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. The season is brought to a conclusion on November 28 by operatic duo Zoe Milton-Brown and Jonathan Stoughton.

All artists taking part in the Music at Lunchtime recitals at All Saints Church do so free of charge and audiences are not charged for entry although many choose to show their appreciation by making donations.

These are gratefully accepted by All Saints Church and go towards the recently launched organ restoration fund. The lunchtime recitals are informal, friendly events.

The music is enjoyed by many on the gallery whilst partaking of their lunch; teas and coffees are provided.

Further information on all musical events held at All Saints Church can be obtained from the parish administrator, Dafydd G Jones on 029 2070 3170 or email admin@allsaintspenarth.org.uk
