X FACTOR winner James Arthur will tour next year to support his new album Back from the Edge and will head to St David's Hall, Cardiff, on Saturday, March 18, 2017.

James’ second album is currently sitting at number one in the midweek UK charts, and is currently holding off competition from Elvis Presley, Michael Buble and The Courteeners.

Following two years away from the spotlight, James made his return and has now sold more than 700,000 copies of the lead track Say You Won’t Let Go. The single was released in September and quickly went to the top spot on iTunes and Spotify, followed by the Official Charts where it sat at number one for three consecutive weeks.

Consequently, James has now been confirmed as the best-selling British singles artist in 2016. The song has also topped the charts in Australia and Ireland and has already started to make waves in the US.

After winning the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012, his debut single Impossible stormed to number one in its first week, whilst the follow-up You’re Nobody ‘Til Somebody Loves You peaked at number two.

Speaking of the tour, James said: “It’s amazing to finally get out there and perform this new album to not only my loyal and patient fan base, but also hopefully some new fans as well. I promise to bring some serious energy to this stage for you all.”
