Michael Flatley created Lord of the Dance following the success of Riverdance.

The Irishman entered the Guinness Book of World Records in 1989 for a tapping speed of 28 taps per second. He then subsequently broke his own record in 1998 with a 35 taps per second.

He said: “Our fans in the UK have been incredibly loyal for the last 20 years and many of my talented dancers hail from diverse parts of the country. We have a world-class cast, many of whom will be performing in their home cities and I am delighted to be able to showcase their remarkable talent.”

The shows (including a matinee on Saturday, January 28) feature Michael’s proteges James Keegan, Fergal Keaney and Matt Smith in the role of the ‘Lord’.

Accompanying the cast is a score composed by Gerard Fahy, which adds an extra dimension to the original piece.

Ticket prices range from £35 to £43.50 depending on day and time of performance.

All prices are subject to an additional £3.95 ticket service charge per transaction and an optional 95p postage fee.
