PENARTH'S John Lewis will hit the road this month on a full UK tour, which will come to an end at The Big Top, Cardiff on February 26.
He will perform in a solo capacity with just his electrifying guitar skills, commanding voice and stomping foot for accompaniment, to help promote and showcase his first solo acoustic album His Other Side which will be officially released on February 27.
John’s Rock’n’Roll calibre are very well established and respected in the ‘Rocking Scene’ around the world where he has performed at major festivals from Moscow, Russia to Melbourne, Australia.
This solo tour will, however, allow music lovers the opportunity to see him perform in a much more stripped down and intimate environment.
During his early years with Welsh Rockabilly legends The Rimshots he recorded several albums and won a British Country Music Award - Album of the Year. He also fronts Johnny Bach and the Moonshine Boozers, with former Imelda May guitarist Darrel Higham.
Imelda has been a great champion of his for years, regularly inviting him to open shows for her and recently contributed her harmony backing vocals to the single Waltz Around The Kitchen.
John will be supported on his Cardiff date by Christopher Rees.
