NATIONAL Trust owned Dyffryn gardens in the Vale of Glamorgan’s new family orientated adventure will see guests taking a trip into the evolving woodland over the Easter period.

From April 8 until April 23, 10am to 6pm - families will be able to let their imagination run wild as they set off on self-led adventures as they face challenges, and conduct science experiments.

In order to celebrate the launch of their new Plant Hunter Expedition running over the Easter Holidays, Dyffryn Gardens ask their visitors to arrive dressed as an explorer on the first day of the event as they become one of the first people to attempt the new challenge.

All the people who arrive at the Gardens on Saturday, April 8, dressed to impress with receive a treat.

Kate Simons, visitor experience manager at Dyffryn Gardens said: “We are asking families to embrace all that nature has to offer as they follow our new fun-filled expedition and learn fascinating facts along the way.

“A lot of work has gone into the arboretum as part of a five year project to revive the area to the glory it deserves”.

The gardens at Dyffryn were originally designed in 1906 by Reginald Cory and Thomas Mawson.

Cory, a keen plantsman, worked collaboratively with the famous landscape architect to create the garden oasis with a strong theme of experimentation and fluidity.
