RHOOSE, in the Parish of Penmark, is principally known as the home of Cardiff International Airport.
The village created a piece of local history when it became the first community in the Vale of Glamorgan to abolish its community council after a referendum of local residents.
Geographically it is bounded by Porthkerry, Penmark and East Aberthaw with Barry the nearest major town.
