CUSTOMERS of Hamptons Penarth have again come up trumps, by providing donations of blankets, towels and dry dog food to Many Tears Animal Rescue in West Wales.
Andy Bradshaw and Peter Knowles of Hamptons recently paid another visit to Many Tears with a van load of the much needed bedding and food. They also took the proceeds from the 5ps from their carrier bag charge plus donations. The total raised by Hamptons customers is now more than £1,000.
Peter said: "Many Tears is a charity very close to our hearts, as both Millie and Georgie, and our previous Westie Roxy, came from this wonderful animal rescue centre.
"Many Tears Animal Rescue mainly takes in ex-breeding dogs and last-day-at-the-pound dogs. They neuter, worm, microchip and inoculate all the dogs and with the help of fosterers across the UK they socialise, train and love them until forever homes are found.
"We're delighted with the fantastic support from our customers who have proved yet again to be incredibly generous."
All of the 5ps for carrier bags at Hamptons will continue to be donated to Many Tears and Hamptons is still collecting dry dog food, blankets and towels as well as collars and leads - new and used.
Anyone who thinks they may be able to offer a home to a dog, or indeed any volunteering, should visit the Many Tears website at http://www.manytearsrescue.org
