Dinas care home staff to be cut

The number of staff caring for the last remaining resident at Bryneithin Care Home is expected to be cut.
Corianne Morris, 86, is the sole resident at the Dinas Powys dementia care centre where a team of 13 staff have been caring for her at an annual cost of £450,000.
Her son has reportedly said that he does not wish to remove her from the home where she is legally entitled to remain for life.
Vale Council officials said they are continually reviewing staff levels and will ensure they continue to meet her needs.
Lance Carver, head of adult service at the local authority said: Adult services has regularly reviewed staffing levels in the home following the reduction in residents.
We ensure that the staffing levels are appropriate to meet the needs of any residents and that the home continues to meet registration standards with regard to staffing levels and maintenance.
"This will continue to be the case while any residents remain at the home.
The staffing structure will be considered again following the outcome of an ongoing assessment.
