THE highlight of the Sully Painting Group year is the annual exhibition - and thanks to the proceeds of this year's event, the group was able to donate £1,000 to their chosen charities.
At the Annual General Meeting held on October 30, president Ken Young presented a cheque for £500 to Amy Hopkins of the local Alzheimer's Society and Ros Adams the exhibition organiser presented a cheque for £500 to Tony Brand for Ty Hafan.
The group is really grateful for all the support it received from everyone who came to the exhibition and made it possible to make these donations.
The Sully Painting Group which meets in the Jubilee Hall, is made up of a lively group of painters who produce a wide variety of paintings in various media, and who welcome anyone who would like to join, with or without previous experience of painting.
