PENARTH Past’s final book, We Believe in Yesterday, edited by Professor Barry A Thomas, will be launched at A B Snell and Son, Stanwell Road, Penarth, on November 27.
The third book in the We Remember It Well series, it represents a ‘Retiring Collection of Memories' made by a group of Golden Oldies, who worked together for 14 years.
The reminiscences cover 1953 - 2003, and are a collection of memories gathered by Penarth Past Oral History Group and their friends.
The book contains a wide selection of old photographs and memories from local historians and other Penarthians, giving detailed accounts of Penarth and the local area.
They also speculate about developments, and try and cultivate the interest of schools and pupils by their efforts to visit schoolchildren as 'living history' lessons.
