TESCO staff in Penarth have joined forces with colleague across the UK to take part in a £1 million festive fundraising weekend.
Tesco stores, head offices and distribution centres have come together to "Cycle to Lapland" and raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Staff from the Penarth Marina superstore shared stints on a pair of static bikes between Friday and Sunday, helping to clock up the equivalent miles to Father Christmas' door.
Cancer Research UK is Tesco's chosen charity of the year, with a fundraising target of £10 million set to help to fund 32 vital early diagnosis schemes.
Event co-ordinator Mark Smith said staff at the Penarth store would be giving their all to contribute as much to the total as possible.
"Cancer Research is such a worthy cause, we are proud to be raising money for truly great charity," he said.
