STOLEN: Hair brush and mirror
POLICE are appealing for information after items of great sentimental value, belonging to an elderly woman in Penarth, were stolen.
The distinctive silver hairbrush and mirror, with the initials BDS engraved on the back, belong to a 96-year-old woman. They were bought for the owner by her late husband when they were married around 70 years ago.
They are believed to have been stolen from a nursing home in the Penarth area prior to Christmas, and the theft was reported on January 10.
A South Wales Police spokesman said: "We are appealing for anyone who knows of the whereabouts of the property to come forward, as it is of sentimental value to the victim and her family."
Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
