AT their highly successful sell-out New Year's Eve gig at the Conservative Club, the close of 2012 brought the end of an era for the Penarth based rock'n'rollers, playing for the last time as The Sunsets.

Thanks go to everyone who made it a great night, and also to all those fans that have supported the band throughout the year.

However, at midnight they unveiled their new name which will take them forward into 2013 and beyond!

The Cyclones, fronted by 24-year-old guitar sensation Lewis Clayton, plan to kick up a storm in the coming months.

With gigs already booked and a new CD on the way, the future is looking great for Lewis Clayton and The Cyclones.

Freeing themselves of the restrictions of playing only 50s rock'n'roll, which the old identity imposed, they now look forward to expanding their repertoire to include a wider selection of material including country and blues.

You will get a chance to see them playing on the last Saturday of every month throughout the year, as usual, at Penarth Conservative Club, starting on Saturday, January 26. Doors open at 7.30pm and admission is £5. Don't forget to bring your dancing shoes!

The Cyclones can be contacted via email at info@pump-music.co.uk  or by phone on 07941 832212.
