Dinas Powys Orchestra set for spring concert

THE spring concert by the Dinas Powys Orchestra will take place on Sunday, March 17, at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall, Britway Road, Dinas Powys.

This year the orchestra is delighted to welcome three young students from the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music, by kind permission.

They are Juliette Roos - violin; Ben Tarlton - cello, whose home is in Llantwit Major and Rosalind Phang - piano.

They will be playing Beethoven's Triple Concerto for piano, violin, cello and orchestra.

This will be a rare opportunity to hear these outstanding young musicians, all only seventeen years of age, at the start of their successful musical careers.

The orchestra will also be performing Mendelssohn 'Fingal's Cave' Overture and Schumann Symphony No 4.

Tickets priced £6 (£3 aged 12 and under) are available from The Clerk, Dinas Powys Parish Hall, Britway Road, Dinas Powys; Dinas Powys Post Office, 3 Station Road, Dinas Powys; Murch Sub Post Office, 14 CammÕs Corner, Dinas Powys, or at the door on the night.
