SULLY Sailing Club will be holding an open day on Saturday, June 1, between 10am and 4pm when members of the local community, children and adults are invited to try sailing.
The club, located on the seafront of Sully Bay, adjacent to the cricket pitch and the Jubilee Hall (off Smithies Avenue), will be open, and club members will be available with their boats to offer a taster sail, weather permitting.
Life jackets will be available, but, if anyone wishes to participate, they are asked to wear clothes and shoes that they don't mind getting wet - or a wetsuit if they have one. All under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Sully Sailing Club is a small, friendly club that organises sailing for dinghies, both racing and informal sailing, as well as cruises and picnics to Porthkerry Park and Flatholm. We have a slipway that allows sailing at virtually all states of the tide.
