School meals payment

VALE parents are being asked to air their views regarding payment options for school meals.
The Vale of Glamorgan Council is in the process of implementing a new payment system for school meals.
This system is designed to make the process of collecting dinner money more straightforward and remove some of the burden of this work from schools in the Vale.
New payment methods – online and via telephone – have been on offer since August 2011. From September 2013, parents will no longer be able to pay for their children’s school meals by cheque.
Cash payments will still be accepted but these will also be phased out over time. Instead, parents will need to make payments for school meals via the following methods:
* Telephone payment
* Online payment
* Pay Point.
The council would like to ask parents a few brief questions to help make this new payment system as easy as possible to use.
By completing the survey before the end of August, parents could win a week of free school meals for their child in September.
