A LOCAL business is celebrating 25 years of serving the local community.
Family-run company Dinas Windows LTD was founded on August 8, 1988.
Its directors are brothers Jon and Nick Madge, who originally started working from home, installing windows and doors for friends.
They relocated to premises in Llandaff, Cardiff, after demand increased and stayed there for four years.
But in 1991 they decided they wanted to move closer to home and they set up shop in Barry.
They have since installed more than 25,000 windows and doors, while the conservatory department has grown considerably, manufacturing and fitting more than 550 conservatories and porches.
A spokesperson for the company said consistent quality was key.
“We strive to make good quality products at competitive prices and provide the highest quality service,” they said.
“Our after-sales team is second to none and our sales manager Terry Jones is always on hand to help our customers.
“We have quality fitting teams and fabricators and our team all work to high standard of workmanship.”
In 2009 Dinas Windows installed all new windows to the Goleulong 2000 lightship on Cardiff bay.
A strong rapport with customers was also said to be vital to their success.
“The majority of our work comes from recommendations and we would therefore like to thank all our customers past and present for supporting Dinas Windows,” added the spokesperson.
“We hope that they will continue to do so in the future.”
Dinas Windows offers a free no obligation quotation for energy efficient double glazing, aimed at reducing heating bills and ensuring draught-free comfort with a high degree of security.
