VALE MP Alun Cairns is once again delighted to highlight Parliament Week to schools and organisations throughout the Vale of Glamorgan.
Parliament Week this year runs November 15-21, and is an opportunity for young people to engage with Parliament and democracy.
Mr Cairns said: "This is a great way to help young people make their voices heard and to support better understanding of how decisions are making. I am open to any school that wants to get involved. Parliament Week offers an opportunity to highlight the work and history of the Houses of Parliament to students, to discuss Parliament's relevance and to encourage them to become active citizens. There are many ways in which you can take part from debates to assemblies and online activities."
One of the highlights of Parliament Week will be the sitting of the UK Youth Parliament in the House of Commons Chamber on Friday, November 15, which students can watch live on BBC Parliament.
Mr Cairns said: "This annual event is a great way to show students how issues that are relevant to them can be debated, and how young people can make their voices heard.
"If any school or organisation is interested in taking part, please contact my constituency office and I will arrange for the Parliament Week Information Pack to be sent out – this is a great way to engage the whole school with Parliament."
