TWO teams of Penarth residents are set to take part in a 10k assault course in aid of charity.
The two teams of ten, who have entered as part of the KF CrossFit and Bootcamp gym, will take part in the Men’s Health Survival of the Fittest obstacle course on Sunday, September 29, in Cardiff.
Llandough resident Andrea Pace, who ran the London Marathon earlier this year in aid of Sparks, the children’s medical research charity, said: “The owner of the gym, Allen Reid, has been giving us extra free sessions to prepare us.
“KF CrossFit is a strength and conditioning facility, that also offers CrossFit classes and a BootCamp designed to provide fitness to all levels of ability.”
The gym is just off Ocean Way on East Moors Road in Cardiff.
Andrea added: “Survival of the Fittest takes place on Sunday, September 29, and we are on the 12pm and 12.15pm waves. It’s a 10k obstacle course, starting at the Millennium Stadium and finishing at Cardiff Bay.”
The women’s team competing is made up of Sarah Lyons, Lesley Harbidge, Beth Trubshaw, Joselyn Sellen, Aoife Corbett, Manon Ludlam, Emma Jones, Suzanne Carter Williamson, Andrea Pace and Nicola Sheppard
