THE VALE of Glamorgan Council’s Cabinet will be holding their next ‘community Cabinet’ meeting in Barry on Monday, October 21, between 6 - 8pm in the Civic Offices on Holton Road.
The meeting is open to the public, who will have the chance to question the Cabinet members at the end of the meeting.
A vow to make local decision-making more transparent and inclusive led the Cabinet to take its meetings to the community. Last year's community Cabinet meeting in Barry proved popular, with plenty of questions for the seven Cabinet members and senior council officers.
Cabinet usually meets in public at the Civic Offices every fortnight at 2pm, but the meetings are now being held regularly at other local community venues. They are also regularly visiting communities throughout the Vale for question and answer sessions.
Details of all Cabinet meetings, including agendas and minutes, are available on the council’s website www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk
