STAFF members in Victoria Primary School have been successfully helping children to achieve their full potential through the use of the Catch Up Literacy and Catch Up Numeracy intervention plans for a number of years.
Catch Up administrators were so impressed with the school's efforts and results that they have awarded Victoria Primary School their highest accolade - the Gold Award.
Mrs J Hall, who coordinates Catch Up Literacy, and Miss A Mealing, who coordinates Catch Up Numeracy within the school, were recently invited to the Catch Up conference in Cardiff University’s Glamorgan building to receive the Gold Award certificate from Ken Skates AM, Deputy Minister for Skills and Technology.
Head teacher Mrs FT Taylor said: "I am delighted that the staff and children have been recognised for all their wonderful efforts and achievements. This kind of team work reflects the ethos of our happy and successful school."
