PENARTH Coastguards were called out to assist with the rescue of four people cut-off by the tide at Sully Island on Thursday evening.
Penarth Lifeboat Station’s IRB was launched, at about 4pm, to take the casualties off the island to be met by coastguard officers on the beach near the Captain's Wife pub.
All casualties were safe and well, and were given safety advice when they were returned to shore.
