TWO men had to be rescued after becoming stuck in a sewer pipe 15ft below a Penarth street.
On Saturday, October 26 at around 5.30pm the two males, both in their 40s, were pulled out from under a manhole shaft in Northcliffe.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said that it was unclear how they came to be in the sewer.
He said: "The two men were given first aid on the scene and taken to the University of Wales hospital where they were treated for minor, non-life threatening injuries."
Ten units from South Wales Fire and Rescue attended the incident including a technical rescue team who specialise in confined space incidents.
No further action has been taken in relation to the incident.
