THE Rotary Club of Dinas Powys has been delighted this year to nominate and award the Paul Harris Fellow Award to a number of deserved club members.

The award is the highest honour a club can bestow on a person, either inside or outside the club. The award therefore acknowledges 'service above self' which that individuals have offered to their community, their nation or indeed to the world.

Paul Harris was the founder of Rotary and this award program was created to fund many Rotary Foundation programs and these members of the Dinas Powys club have contributed many years of support to the Rotary Foundation raising moneys for local, national and worldwide charities.

The awards were given by past district governor David Wiltshire to Rotarians Richard Herd and John Reynolds at a recent club night.
