CHILDREN took up a festive art challenge at Penarth Library to create an imaginative tree for the St Augustine's Church Christmas Tree Festival
Youngsters attending the session at Penarth library on Saturday, November 30 were joined by deputy leader of the Vale council Stuart Egan and leader of Penarth Town Council Mike Cuddy.
The two councillors joined the lively "Blast" art session, Cllr Egan, said: “I was delighted to be invited to join in a Blast session which was a great opportunity to see children and library staff using their creative talents to construct a truly unique Christmas tree.”
Penarth library's Blast sessions aim to encourage and support creativity in young people.
Cllr Mike Cuddy said: "The Art Blast sessions are a fantastic way to engage young people and encourage artistic ability in a community venue."
