ENTERPRISING guides and brownies have delivered their Christmas wish lists to Father Christmas in the hope that he can bring them some volunteers.

The Penarth youngsters have turned to the world-popular gift-giver in the hope that he can produce some enthusiastic adults keen to assist their guiding activities and enable them to have fun out of school time.

The guides need volunteers to help the guiding movement grow.

Girlguiding Cymru has more than 20,000 members and volunteers across Wales.

Chief commissioner for Girlguiding Cymru, Felicity Ladbrooke said: “Growing Guiding is our number one challenge, as we want to share this great game with as many young girls and women as possible.

“Girlguiding Cymru has been a strong influence in multiple family generations, with your help we can continue to create a fun environment where girls can be themselves and have their own space as well as acquire new skills, bringing communities together and opening up new units in your local area.”
