HOUSEHOLDERS in the Vale of Glamorgan will be visited from Saturday, February 1, to Sunday, February 23, by house-to-house canvassers working to update the electoral register.

The canvassers, working on behalf of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, will be visiting all properties that have not returned an electoral registration form. All canvassers will carry an authorisation letter to confirm they are employed by the council.

Canvassers will only ask for the names of people, over the age of 16, who are permanently resident at the properties that have not returned the form.

If residents are 16 or 17 years-of-age they might be asked for their nationality and date of birth. They will not be asked for further personal information.

If you have concerns about a canvasser please call the council’s contact centre on 01446 700111.
