New cadets gets enrolled

First published in News

1148 (Penarth) Air Cadet Squadron would like to welcome and congratulate Ieuan Murray on his enrolment.

The junior cadet has been attending the squadron long enough to become a fully fledged member. This will allow him to embark on his Air Cadet career and take part in all the opportunities and challenges available. He can learn to fly gliders and planes, gain his Duke of Edinburgh award, attain a BTECS in Public Service and Aviation Studies, walk up mountains and learn to climb - just to name some of the activities on offer.

"It's fantastic to have new cadets on our squadron and I hope they each get everything they can from 1148 Penarth Squadron" said Pilot Officer Richard Pudney, Training Officer on the Squadron.

If you have a spirit for adventure, 1148 (Penarth) Squadron has vacancies for boys and girls between 13-18 years old. The squadron parade on Mondays and Wednesdays 7pm-9.30pm next to Dingle Road train station or you can contact the squadron on 02920 350448, email oc.1148@aircadets.org, check out their Facebook page www.facebook.com/1148PenarthAirCadetSquadron and follow them on twitter @1148PenarthSqn.
