STANWELL School pupils participated in the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award where they showed true grit and determination when they braved the recent weather on expedition to the Cowbridge area.
They walked approximately five to six miles while navigating through muddy fields and farms, and learning to read their maps.
This equated to a four hour walking time with the last groups just arriving back before the serious rain set in. Well done to all 83 pupils who took part.
