A SULLY business has been hired to design the website of last years The Apprentice winner after being recommended by Lord Alan Sugar himself.

Designer Websites, on Sully Moors Road, spent eight weeks designing Dr Leah Totton’s website after she was crowned The Apprentice winner for 2013.

NHS-trained doctor Leah Totton was awarded an investment of £250,000 from Lord Sugar after she pitched to change the aesthetic medical industry by opening a range of cosmetic skin clinics.

In January the first ‘Dr Leah’ clinic in Moorgate, Central London, was unveiled and staff from Designer Websites were there to celebrate filled with Prosecco and canapés.

Rebecca Gillard, marketer and copywriter for Designer Websites, said that it wasn’t the first time they had been chosen to design an Apprentice winner’s website.

“In 2012 we were chosen from more than 20 companies to do Ricky Martin’s recruitment agency website,” she said.

“It was based on his website that we were recommended to do Dr Leah’s website.”

Managing director of Designer Websites Jason Fortt, from Barry, added that the company had also worked for many other well known clients as well.

“Our biggest customers have probably been the car company Ron Skinner & Sons, Westco flooring company and various politicians,” he said.

“It does help when you have got Lord Sugar tweeting about you!”

He added: “Leah was recommended to us by Lord Sugar himself after our work on Ricky Martin’s website.

“We are hoping we will get the next Apprentice winner again too.”

Dr Leah’s clinic, which houses the first 3D Lipomed machine in the UK, offers a range of both invasive and non-invasive aesthetic treatments, ranging from a 25 minute express facial ideal for a lunch time transformation, to body transforming fat freezing with the non-surgical Lipomed treatment.

Thanks to Designer Website’s responsive website design and the integrated booking system, you can now book your treatments and pay your deposit online.

After designing and developing the online face of the Dr Leah brand, Designer Websites, which was previously based at The Business Centre in Barry, was invited to attend the launch.

Lord Sugar unfortunately could not attend the launch due to prior business commitments, but he tweeted his congratulations and Karren Brady CBE was there to support Leah at the event. She later tweeted stating that it was "Great to see what a fantastic clinic @DrLeahTotton has put together. Very proud of her."

Despite not being in attendance himself, Lord Sugar managed to stamp his presence on the occasion by sending Leah a birthday cake to the clinic, as the launch also happened to fall on her 26th birthday.

Designer Websites are delighted to be involved with the Dr Leah brand and wish her every success in the future, which she believes will be bright.

“I don’t just want to create a clinic or a chain of clinics; I want to create standards and benchmarks in the industry and provide a safe environment to have these treatments for those who want them”, Leah recently said in an interview.
