A NEW 15 week course looking at discovering your family roots is due to start on Friday mornings from 10am – noon at Penarth Library, which will be looking at how to use all types of records to find out about your family, who they were, where they lived and what they did.

Julie Daniel is a family history tutor with more than 30 years of experience in researching family trees.

Julie said: "Old photos and dated newspapers in the attic all have their own story - the story of your family.

"There is a wealth of information available at local records offices, libraries and on the internet and this course will give you the opportunity to explore all these sources and put together your own family tree.

"The journey is always a long one but full of interesting discoveries on the way."
