PUPILS at Llandough Primary School enjoyed celebrating World Book Day this week.
Teachers prepared activities based around favourite books and pupils were encouraged to bring in their favourite books from home or choose their favourite from the school library.
Children in Foundation Phase shared the reasons for their choices with their peers. Class R1 looked at the book 'Room on the broom' and created wanted posters for the monster while pupils in Class 1/2 looked at the story 'The magic bed' and designed their own characters for Georgie to meet. Pupils created books covers and blurbs for their favourite books and some even found the time to make monster bookmarks.
We love reading at Llandough and are very grateful for all the different books we have available both at home and at school.
