MRS Elsie Strange who resides at Parkside Residential Home, Park Road, celebrated her 100th birthday this week.
Has one daughter, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Originally from Cardiff moved to Penarth in 1937 when she married. During the war she lived in Scotland for two years as her husband was in the RAF. She ran an electrical business in Cornerswell Road.
