PUPILS from Westbourne Junior School were given a welcome surprise after their work was exhibited at Penarth Pier Pavilion.
Staff of Westbourne were so impressed by the quality of the work from the Year 5 pupils that they decided that the Director of Penarth Pier Pavilion, David Trotman, and the exhibitions and education manager, Abigail Trotman, should see the paintings.
Mrs Yvette Davies, the childrens’ art teacher, said: “It is testament to the standard of the students’ work that prints of their paintings are now being exhibited at the Pavilion.
“The students were in for a big surprise when they walked down to Penarth Pier to see the display.
"The children had no idea and were so excited to see their work on show. Westbourne are very proud of the children's achievements."
