THE 1st Penarth Beaver Scouts Colony were given a tour around the central fire station in Cardiff.
They were able to sit in the fire engine, squirt water, watched the ladder go up on the fire engine and also had a ride in the crane.
The visit was part of their Friendship Challenge badge and also some part of a number of other badges. A good time was had by all including the parents that came to help.
Penarth and District Scouts have a number of children on their waiting lists they cannot place in their Beaver Scout Colonies due to a lack of adults. Anyone interested in becoming leaders, sectional assistant or occasional helpers are asked to ring 0330 330 1907 or email info@penarthanddistrict.org.uk.
